Happy Birthday to J!

It has been twenty-nine years since Janelle's first birthday party was celebrated with some cake, singing, and maybe even a balloon or two. A year before that first birthday bash, just a few hours after midnight, there was another celebration going on in a little hospital room in Provo. I'm sure this party was full of smiles, hugs, kisses, phone calls, and I'm guessing even a few tears.

That same day, my family was somewhere in the middle of our move to Saudi Arabia. After all of miles traveled and different places we've lived, I was lucky enough to have our paths cross on November 10, 2006. That night that ended with Janelle, her roommates, and myself at a 24-hour grease pit diner in Seven Corners until a few hours past midnight.

Little did I know how much I would grow to love the girl sitting a few stools down from me at the diner that night, the one that was born thirty years ago today in a little hospital room in Provo.

Happy Birthday. I am glad that you came into my life, Matt, and that you found such a wonderful girl to marry. I love you both.
