Adventure upon adventure...so hot!

I have a brilliant mother. Really. Truly. Brilliant. And it was this brilliant mother of mine that suggested that Arizona and I drive to Las Vegas last weekend so we could meet up with my brother and sister-in-law and my nephews. Okay, let me back up a bit. We have had one minor issue with our wedding being in a state other than the one in which we currently reside, and that problem is...wedding gifts. Luckily my grandpa came to the rescue after our wedding and drove all of the wonderful gifts from Oregon to Utah, where Arizona and I could conceivably drive to pick them up. It would make for a long 10-12 hour drive no doubt, but it was far better than the 20+ hours that it would take to drive to Oregon! Then (here comes the brilliant part) my mother informed me that my sister-in-law was driving to Las Vegas for the weekend with my nephews (my brother met them there a few days later) so they could spend some time with her family and go to the BYU football game. So, in her "oh so brilliant way" my mom suggested that I call my sister-in-law and beg and plead for her to drive our gifts to Las Vegas so we could cut our drive time in half! Do you see the brilliance?! We only had to drive 5 hours AND we got to go to BYU game AND we got to see my nephews AND Arizona got to experience Vegas (I don't think he was that impressed!) AND I didn't even have to beg! My sister-in-law is awesome and went out of her way to help us out, she loaded her car down with our gifts and then even secured us tickets for the game! Amazing...I know! Anyway, we had a fabulous time seeing everyone and are so glad that the next time we go to Utah we can fly because we don't have to worry about picking up all of the amazing gifts...cuz they're already home! Hooray! So here's a big thank you to Christine! And...to my brilliant mother! Good ol' Hoover Dam. It took us an hour to get across the dam on our way back to Arizona. There is a security checkpoint and every car has to be checked because apparently it is a big terrorist target. Sweet view though! Obviously this guy is stronger than he looks if he can handle Arizona with one finger and a look on his face like "it ain't no thang" We decided the Bellagio fountains and the ginormous aquarium at Caesar's Palace were the best part of our day on the strip. It saddens me to see how much trashier Vegas has become since my family moved from there twelve years ago. We saw a prostitute and her pimp within the first five minutes of being on the strip...now that's what I call classy! Frankly, I'm glad what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...they can keep it! The best part of any ball game has GOT to be the food!

I'm pretty sure David's cheering spurred the Cougs on to victory! What a SuperFan!

After the game (and after finally getting out of the stadium parking lot an hour later...sheesh you'd think UNLV could afford to pave their parking lot...and make more than one entrance/exit) we drove up to the temple where the view of the city is amazing! Unfortunately we forgot the tripod so this was the best we could do! Doesn't do it justice! Sad that the lights of the strip look good from far but are far from good! Football, family, presents...chalk one up for a fabulous adventure weekend! So HOT! On Monday night we got to go to the Suns/Jazz game. Before the game we ventured into "Little Mexico" and ate at this restaurant that had some fairly dirty floors but some absolutely delightful Mexican cuisine! When Arizona told the guys at work that he was taking me there, one of them asked if he was "packing some heat" he assured them that we would be out of the neighborhood before sundown...and we were! We loved it and will be returning...as long as the sun is shining!
We had a fantastic seats and a fabulous time watching the Suns win with authority! In fact it was such a thomping...it actually got a little bit boring (that's for you Phill!) And here's Jenny (from the Bachelor) doing her little dance/cheer thing! She's actually really good and I told Arizona that I'm sure she went home and called Brad cuz they're secretly engaged...he loves her let's face it! Anyway, so we've had a few fabulous adventures recently! Next up...Virginia! Hooray!
