Milestones

29,200 days on earth.  8 decades.  80 years.  All are equivalent to the the milestone reached by my grandpa earlier this month.  He has experienced triumphs and sorrows, had times of success and times of failure, he has, in a word, experience.  With that experience has come wisdom and increased understanding of the truly important things in life.  My parents flew south for a few winter days and we journeyed together to celebrate this 80th milestone, Yuma style.
A couple of Canadians enjoying the Arizona winter sunshine.
Yuma was a bit blustery on that particular weekend.
We did it up right with birthday apple pie and some awesome party decorations!

I'm so thankful for the wonderful man that my grandpa is.  I am blessed to be in his family, and I'm so glad we were able to celebrate his birthday with him this year, memories were made that won't soon be forgotten.

"Holding" the babies for the first time.  My mom is "holding" baby girl and my dad is "holding" baby boy.  It won't be long before we are holding them for real!
This Christmas was the first one we have spent entirely on our own.  We made a delicious dinner on Christmas Eve, drove around and looked at lots of different Christmas light displays, then came home and snuggled up to a Christmas movie.  It was relaxing and low key, and we loved every minute of it!
This house won our vote for most "decked out."
26.5 weeks and the babies continue to grow and wiggle.
And, this picture was taken today at nearly 29 weeks.  The babies were so squirmy on Christmas morning that we decided they must have known they got new cribs for Christmas!
And, just because he's cute...here's a picture of Matt getting ready to run miles in his new Christmas running shoes!

You are such a cute pregnant mommy. Seriously,I am so dang excited for you. I love the picture of you and your parents holding your belly. The babies will love that one when they get older.
