Rested and Showered

Happy baby month!  I'm now half way through my fourth week of bed rest.  I have to say...it's really not so bad.  Maybe it's that I am inherently lazy.  Maybe it's that growing two babies is a tad bit more exhausting than I knew it would be.  Whatever it is, I am not at all minding the sleeping in and lounging in my pajamas all the live long day.  Though, I do have doctor's appointments twice a week and I have yet to go to the doctor braless and in my pjs, so I guess I haven't lost all sense of decorum.  We'll see what happens in the next two weeks though...I'm not making any promises.  So, all in all bed rest has left me feeling rested and a little lazy.  And chubby faced.  But, I'll take chubby faced if it means these babies will be healthy!

On Saturday I took a short reprieve from lounging in order to be showered.  Showered with friends.  Showered with food.  Showered with baby gifts.  Showered with love.  It was so fun to celebrate our two little ones with so many good friends and we are so thankful for all of the love and support that was wrapped up neatly with each and every gift.  Matt, appropriately excited about becoming a dad and not one to miss out on a social event, came and was our photographer.

Brunch was served and was amazing!  The decorations and details were all so cute, these pictures don't do them justice!
The adorable party favors.  Reese's and Twix candy bars accompanied by some Hershey's Kisses and a cute little magnet.
This picture is necessary so you can see how cute everything looked.
We have the sweetest and most generous friends and family!  Thank you to all of you who came to celebrate with us, these little ones will be decked out!
Matt's gift from his sister and brother-in-law.  When we were in Virginia he woke up one morning and heard Aly in the next room using her breast pump...he mistakenly thought she had put some bread in the bread maker, thus the bread mix.
I owe a special thanks to Vicki and Nichole for throwing such a wonderful party.  I couldn't ask for better friends!
And once again, the progression photos.  32.5 weeks
33.5 weeks
Two and a half weeks left!
