Notable Happenings

In an effort to keep everything in chronological order, I feel the need to catch up a little bit.  That, and we just returned from an awesome east coast adventure that Matt is dying for me to post about.  All in good time...

The last few days of our time in Oregon were spent relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.  We got to enjoy the company over our favorite (formerly) Mesa peeps ( the "formerly" is referring to the fact that they will no longer be Mesa peeps due to the selling of their residence in the Valley of the Sun, and not a demotion from their "favorite" status.) but all photographic evidence of our jolly times together shall not be made public at this time so you'll just have to take my word for it, the times they were good ones!

Every year we come home to the sweltering heat and long for the cool greenness that is Oregon.  And, every year the pictures tide us over until the next adventure that will take us to our favorite places in the Northwest.

Standing in the fountain by my dad's office.  It wasn't enough to stand in front of the fountain, Matt had to be IN the fountain.  Thus, I went to our afternoon movie with wet pants.  Oh well, compared to the actual viewing experience of watching "Tree of Life" which was somewhat akin to Chinese water torture, wet pants and cold air conditioning were pleasant.  Worst. Movie. EVER!

We did some kayaking and along the way we discovered hundreds of blackberries.  Our mouths, fingers, and Matt's t-shirt were stained with deep purple for the remainder of the afternoon.  Delicious!

Matt found a cozy new place to sleep.  He loved listening to the trees rustle and watching the owls on their nighttime hunts.

One of the perks of living in the country is that you can have target practice anytime your heart so desires...right in your very own backyard!

All in all our Oregon vacation was the perfect escape from the summertime heat of Arizona!

On another note...we celebrated 4 years of wedded bliss on September 22nd!  I am so thankful to be married to my very best friend, I love him with all my young girl heart!

Phew...I think that is all that was significant that hadn't yet been blogged about...other than the fact that at some point in the end of September or beginning of October I stopped throwing up every night.  Hooray!

Next up...our East Coast Excursion!
